Selected New Features in Recent Versions through 2.11

FM Works is constantly being improved -- primarily based on input and requests from our customers. If you don't see a feature that you need in FM Works -- just ask. It's probably already "in the works" or slated for future release, If not, we will be glad to consider adding it to the product -- because we strongly believe in incorporating "best practices" -- and the best source of those is you, the customer on the front line.

Listed below are some of the innovative features added to FM Works over the last few release cycles -- many are due to customer requests.

• INTRODUCING FM WORKS MOBILE - WIRELESS PDA SOLUTION
  • Provides a completely integrated, state-of-the-art PDA handheld solution that dramatically increases worker productivity, access to information and work flow.
  • Supports all methods of data communication: Hard-wired cradle sync, IEEE 802.11 b/g wireless network, and broad-band (cellular) wireless wide area network.

  Powerful work assignment capabilities:
  • Search and report on work by Assigned Craftsperson or Contractor
  • Assign work in batches based on your own criteria (e.g., assign all work on Tuesday in Building A to George)
  • Reassign work in batches based on your own criteria (e.g., reassign all of Steve’s work on Friday to Sally)
  • Pre-assign a craftsperson or contractor to equipment for automatic assignment in PM work orders.
• Automate many aspects of basic work flow with "out of the box" features using status codes, department assignment, etc.
• Calculate estimated costs, generate automated e-mail, and cost approval.
• Link any digital document (e.g., Word document, PDF file, Excel spreadsheet, etc.) and/or digital photos to work requests/orders or to PM procedures.
• Link any Internet URL to work requests/orders or to PM procedures -- e.g. a manufacturer’s web site.
• Flexible and informative WR/WO options for equipment with the ability to show:
  • Historical comments from previous WR's
  • Previous repairs and PM's
  • Standard parts
  • A trace of data/telecom connections.

• Work Order Express -- allows secure, pre-filtered access by craftsperson (or outside contractor) to work orders for update, scheduling, time/cost reporting, completion, etc. -- anywhere, any time. Get both a windows and a web version for one low cost.
• Outlook style display of work that allows “drag & drop”
  grouping, sorting, column placement, right mouse functions on groups of WR's, easy drill-down, etc.
• Save any WorkView to the Workflow Bar for easy retrieval
  and repeated use .
• More flexible and powerful tree structures in PM Explorer provide improved performance and grouping capability.
• Fully integrated PM work order generation with many flexible options such as:
  • Maintain historical record of batches with the ability “undo” a batch, search for all work in a batch, print all work in a batch, etc.
  • Collapse all PM steps into one WR/WO.
  • Generate PM’s “in the past” for accurate documentation.
  • Offload PM generation to the server for faster processing.
  • Optionally generate single PM's at intervals such as quarterly as a complete procedure instead of multiple PM's such as both monthly and quarterly at such intervals.
• Apply filters to PM procedures and equipment -- e.g., by Equipment Standard, by Trade, by Building or any combination.
• Use Maintenance Departments to organize work and equipment — filter work by maintenance department based on login ID, and assign equipment to different maintenance departments .
